Nuclear Supply Chain Events

A number of events are being held during February and March which may be of interest. Firstly, the next Sellafield Supply Chain Forum will be held at Energus, Lillyhall on 28 Feb. This will be followed on 29 Feb by a Meet the Buyer day organised by the Regional Development organisations. Nuclear Supply Chain Capability

UKTI are holding an event in London on 25/26 January to promote nuclear supply chain capability into overseas markets. UK representatives from owner/operators, major contractors, equipment manufacturers and service providers are now invited to pre-register their interest in participation. Sub-contractor Event

Magnox will be holding an event for sub-contractors interested in working on the Construction Infrastructure and Enablers Strategic Framework. The event takes place on 28 Nov at the Crowne Plaza, NEC, Birmingham. Potential sub-contractors are invited to meet the tenderers at the event in order to build relationships and form bidding teams. Alternatively, interested parties can register their interest and provide supporting information in a standard format via the Magnox Ltd website. NuGen signs up to protocol

The latest organisation to propose building a new nuclear power station has passed an important milestone, signing up to the Regulatory Nuclear Interface Protocol, or RNIP.

NuGen is a UK-based consortium of GDF Suez, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Iberdrola, which has announced its plans to build a new nuclear power station in Cumbria, adjacent to the current Sellafield site.
