NuGen signs up to protocol

The latest organisation to propose building a new nuclear power station has passed an important milestone, signing up to the Regulatory Nuclear Interface Protocol, or RNIP.

NuGen is a UK-based consortium of GDF Suez, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Iberdrola, which has announced its plans to build a new nuclear power station in Cumbria, adjacent to the current Sellafield site.
